It is Red Ribbon Week and Cottonwood's 4th Graders did a lesson on ways to keep themselves healthy and strong. This year's Red Ribbon Week Theme is Life is a Puzzle - Solve it Drug Free and our scholars each drew four things that they can do to stay healthy and strong. They focused on eating healthy, drinking water, exercising, listening to music, spending time in nature, reading, learning, listening, and staying positive. They are certainly on the right track! #TheHUSDWay #CottonwoodCougars #RedRibbonWeek2025

Cottonwood's Fall Festival was a wonderful night of fun and festivity. Special thanks to our PTO for coordinating the event, our staff and volunteers for hosting a variety of game and activity booths and the 17 vendors who came out to share their food and products. Shoutout to Home Depot Temecula for bringing a crew of volunteers to help our Cougars build some incredible projects. Our Book Fair was also open allowing our guests to do some after hours shopping. To our community, thanks for all of the generous donations that came in so our staff create some exciting baskets to raffle off. Congratulations to all of our Raffle Basket Winners! #TheHUSDWay #CottonwoodCougars

The National Theatre for Children was at Cottonwood on Friday performing "The Safety Detectives" assembly with the help of Audrey to point out critical safety issues that all of students need to be aware of. This was an entertaining and infomative way to deliver critcal learning. Every student was also given a coloring book to reinforce their learning. Great job to our performers! #TheHUSDWay #CottonwoodCougars

Cottonwood's 4th-6th Grade Honor Choir participated in a music festival at West Valley High School last Tuesday where they were the youngest performers to take the stage. The packed auditorium of high school and middle school vocalists congratulated them and remarked that their singing was both magestic and angelic as they perfrmed "Remember Me" from Coco. Special thanks to our wonderful music teacher Mrs. McCampbell for preparing our vocalists for this tremendous opportunity . Amazing job singers! #TheHUSWay #CottonwoodCougars

Mark your calendars now for Cottonwood's second annual Turkey Trot on November 20th. You can spread the word and sponser link now so that your student can earn money for their classroom's upcoming events and activities. Money earned by 7th and 8th grade runners will be put into individual accounts to help them earn money to fund their 8th grade Science Camp trip to Catalina! We are also looking for Parent Volunteers to help us on that day to mark laps for students and to help fill up drink cups to keep our athletes hydrated. If you are available to help, please contact the office. #TheHUSDWay #CottonwoodCougars
