Holiday Grams are on for sale in the office and our Holiday Shop will open on Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. Cottonwood's School Spelling Bees will take place on Wednesday. Friday is Holiday Sweater/Shirt Spirit Day, time to deck our halls with your festive wear! The Annual Winter Concert is on Friday evening from 5:00-6:30 p.m. Delicious food will be available for sale before the concert, bring your hungry tummies! Saturday School is on December 13th, please sign up ahead of time to make sure there are enough supplies and materials for all of our attendees! Our 8th Graders are hosting a Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser on Saturday to help raise money for their upcoming Science Camp Field Trip on Catalina Island. Cottonwood's Holiday Shop will be open for business next week! Students and families can shop before school from 8:00-8:30 a.m. and between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The Holiday Shop will also be open the evening of the Winter Concert between 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. This is a fun way for our students to do their own shopping and come home with wrapped surprises for their loved ones. The students were able to walk through the shop with their classes today to preview the merchandise, and bring home a flyer and envelope where they can plan out their shopping. Coming to the Winter Concert straight from work? No worries! Our PTO has arranged to have some food for sale. Tamales will be available for $3.00 each, or $15 for a half dozen, Hot Chocolate will be $2.00, Water will be available for $1.00 and Sodas will be $2.00. There will also be a baked sale selling a variety of sweet treats for $1.00 each. Cottonwood was fortunate to have the Arts Integration Team on site this past week working with our scholars. The students participated in a variety of art forms exploring multiple visual and performing arts projects. It was a phenomenal couple of days! Cottonwood's PTO will be selling Holiday Grams for $1.00 each. Each Holiday Gram will have a Holiday Themed Rubber Duck and some festive candy. Cottonwood was delighted to host the Hemet Unified School District Governing Board for their most recent meeting on Tuesday, November 18th. Shoutout to 1st Graders, Bailee Russell who did a phenomenal job opening the meeting by leading the pledge of allegiance. Myrna Lopez and Megan Estrada shared some of the updates that Cottonwood has made implementing their Community School Grant and Amanda Niaves was awarded a Good Apple.
